Quality fire protection company participates in Apprenticeship Schemes to help individuals develop into highly-skilled professionals, which
West Sussex, United Kingdom – February 26, 2015 – EFL Fire & Security, a West Sussex, UK-based quality fire and security protection firm established in 2000, announced its participation in Apprenticeship Schemes and that it has taken on its first apprentice, fire/security engineer Ryan Tattersall of Littlehampton in West Sussex.
Tattersall has completed his GCSEs and A-Levels and is currently studying for a diploma in Fire and Security. According to EFL representatives, the company has recognised the importance of apprenticeships in business – as well as for individuals – and is assisting in this process by deciding to take on a new apprentice annually.
“EFL are able to fill an important long-term skills gap by producing their own technicians trained in both fire and security,” says Tony Clark, Director of EFL Fire & Security. “Finding trained technicians that work in both these disciplines is difficult enough, but the challenge of training these individuals to work within EFL’s quality standards can be met by training an apprentice who can grow with the company. The benefits of doing so for the apprentice are multi-fold; they have the chance to develop into highly-skilled, specialised engineers, for one, and Mr. Tattersall is a good example of this.
“Ryan comes to EFL as a very bright, gifted individual but who has not yet experienced a professional working environment – by allowing him to get his feet wet by delving ‘head-first’ into the deploying equipment end of our operations, under the supervision of our experienced engineers, he’ll get an opportunity to learn the job from EFL’s best.”
All of EFL Fire & Security’s technicians are employed directly by the company, a tactic essential to offering its clients the very best in service, while also being fully trained in the relevant SSAIB and BAFE schemes. Further, EFL has attained ISO 9001:2000, certifying that all sales and servicing are carried out in accordance with its quality programme and the latest British standards.
